Due in part to recent health care reform, nursing has become one of the nations most rapidly-expanding professions. National employment of nurses is expected to increase by 22 percent in the next several years, according to reports released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. By the year 2018, around 600,000 new jobs will be created in hospitals, doctor’s offices and other areas of health care, like home care agencies.
