Fumigants are gaseous pesticides that have a lethaldeadly or harmful effect on pests. It can be administered in soil, grain, produce and buildings and is one amongst the most efficient pest control methods. Fumigants might be odorless and colourless, but they’re unsafe to people and should not be inhaled. The most commonly used fumigants are phosphine, hydrogen cyanide, lodoform, chloropicrin, 1,3-dichloropropene, methyl isocyanate, formaldehyde and sulfuric fluoride.
