Another Healthy Way To Lose Weight: “The Kind Diet” Vanish The Gut & Burn Fat Strategy

Is this just another, run of the mill, healthy way to lose weight, burn fat, diet book. I don’t think so. A clue to the read worthiness of any book is often given by the weight of the credentials of the individual giving the foreword. That is, if the author is relatively unknown.

Neal Barnard, M.D., clinical researcher, author, and health advocate gives the foreword in Silverstone’s book. He has been the principal investigator or co-investigator on several clinical trials investigating the effects of diet on health. As the principal investigator of several human clinical research trials, Barnard’s work is published many in peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals.

Dr. Barnhard endorses Silverstone’s lose weight burn fat diet plan with flying colors. What he endorses goes far beyond just a book about a healthy way to lose weight. It is a concept that includes helping the world’s environment, feeding the hungry, and even reducing sickness and disease in the world. I highly recommend a read of it, however, there is one issue that came across as I read this book that I did not fully agree with.

The one issue I have with the author’s veiwpoint is on the fact that eating meat is a no-no. That is, if you are going to be totally true to the “Kind Diet” way. Silverstone advocates that if it doesn’t grow out of the ground you should not eat it. This includes abstaining from dishes that include white meat chicken breast or having any kind of seafood. Not even an occasional baked salmon would be considered as part of the the meal plan for someone true to the ideal Kind Diet life style.

The real problem I have with the argument against eating meat is more on a philosophical level. In fact, I actually agree that adopting a vegan lifestyle, though I am not vegetarian myself, can be a healthy way to lose weight for obvious reasons.

As much as I agree with this author on many points, I have to say that I beg to differ on the moral issue of eating meat and have expressed my opinion in a blog article. Yes, Silverstone’s book is a healthy way to lose weight, burn fat and feel better. I encourage my blog readers to get the book if for no other reason than for the delicious,satisfying, fat busting recipes in the last section of the book. You won’t find any hamburger helper dishes there however.

There is no doubt in my mind The Kind Diet’s extreme approach will help many people experience a healthy way to lose weight and burn fat but hopefully without a guilt trip for having an occasional burger or barbecue.
